Countries like Malawi are facing huge challenges in farming. The climate crisis has brought increasingly erratic weather.

Christian Aid is helping combat this by introducing drought resistant crops such as pigeon peas. This crop can be turned into nutritious flour, can also be a cash crop, doesn't need costly fertiliser and it naturally returns nitrogen to the soil.

To help support the farmers of Malawi make this transition, on May 20th a group of Bayston Hill residents will be carrying buckets of peas 8 miles from their village to Shrewsbury and back.

AS OF 27TH APRIL THE TOTAL WITH MONEY IN HAND AND PROMISED IS £1,500. Many thanks to all who have donated so generously.
